Preparation for Scanning Dell EMC PowerFlex
StorageGuard collects configuration data from Dell PowerFlex manager by opening an HTTPS connection to the Dell PowerFlex server and running REST API calls (api/login). StorageGuard also uses read-only CLI commands over SSH (optional).
The following table lists the requirements for scanning Dell PoweFlex:

1 | Provide the IP address of the PowerFlex manager (MDM). |
2 | Provide REST/CLI username and password. |
3 | The user should have ‘Monitor’ role as it includes most view operations but not management operations. Examples of read-only APIs used:

4 | Make sure that IP connectivity through HTTPS and SSH (port 22) is available between the StorageGuard server and the PowerFlex manager. |
