Preparation for Scanning Veritas NetBackup Flex Appliance

StorageGuard collects configuration data from Veritas NetBackup Flex Appliances by opening an HTTPS connection to the appliance and running read-only Rest API calls.

The following table lists the requirements for scanning Veritas NetBackup Flex Appliance:

NOTE: It's highly recommended to also scan the NetBackup application, refer to Veritas NetBackup | Scan Requirements.

Creating a User Account for Scanning Veritas NetBackup Flex Appliance

1. On the Flex Appliance Console, click on User management.
2. Click Add User.
3. Create a user at least with the Observer and Security Observer roles.
4. Click Save.
