EMC XtremIO Scan Requirements

AvailabilityGuard™ collects configuration data regarding EMC XtremIO storage arrays by opening an HTTP or HTTPS connection to the XtremIO Management server (XMS).

Once a connection is established, AvailabilityGuard™ runs few read-only REST API (api/json/v2/types) requests to gather the required configuration data.

To scan an EMC XtremIO storage array, make the following preparations:

• Obtain the XMS name or IP address.
• Obtain a read-only XMS user name and password.
• Make sure that IP connectivity through HTTP or HTTPS (port 443) is available between the AvailabilityGuard™ collector server and the XMS.
