EMC VPLEX Scan Requirements

AvailabilityGuard™ collects configuration data regarding EMC VPLEX storage systems by running read-only RESTful API requests over an HTTPS connection to the VPLEX Management Server.

To scan an EMC VPLEX storage system, you should make the following preparations:

• Obtain the VPLEX Management Server name or IP address. In VPLEX Metro and Geo systems enter only one Management Server.
• Obtain a VPLEX Management Server user account name and password.
• Verify that IP connectivity through HTTPS (port 443) is available between the AvailabilityGuard™ collector server and each VPLEX Management Server.
