Cisco UCS Blade Scan Requirements

AvailabilityGuard™ collects configuration data from Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) blade servers by running read-only XML API requests over an HTTP or HTTPS connection to the Cisco UCS Manager server.

To scan Cisco UCS Manager, you should make the following preparations:

• Obtain the Cisco UCS Manager Name or IP address.
  
• Obtain a locally authenticated Cisco UCS Manager user account with read-only role.
  
• Verify that IP connectivity through HTTP (port 80) or HTTPS (port 443) is available between the AvailabilityGuard™ collector server and the UCS Manager server.
