A deployment of the Continuity Software Suite consists of several components, described below. Diagram 1 illustrates the deployment architecture.
The deployment components of the Continuity Software Suite are:
Component |
Description |
Master Server |
A Windows server responsible for the core services such as User Interface, data processing, data analytics (risk detection engine), API and more. The user interface can be accessed over http/https from your browser. The master server can also perform the role of a collector. |
Database |
The master server uses an oracle database to store system configuration and data collected from various IT systems. |
Collector Server(s) – Optional |
A Windows server responsible for remotely interfacing with target IT systems and gathering the configuration required for the analysis. All collectors report back to the master server that will process the configuration data and perform the risk detection processes. Collectors should be considered in deployments which include multiple locations. |
Scanned IT infrastructure |
The hosts, virtual machines, clusters, hypervisors, databases, application servers, blade systems, SAN switches, storage systems and management consoles in your datacenters that are scanned and analyzed by Continuity Software Suite products.
