Prerequisites
- A Windows 2008 (or above) 64-bit server installed with Oracle 11g/12c Client.
- Oracle database 11g/12c + user with sysdba rights.
Steps to Install AvailabilityGuard
1 Run the AvailabilityGuard_X.Y.exe as a local administrator.
2 Select Yes, install JRE 1.8 and use it when running AvailabilityGuard. When you select this option, a wizard opens to guide you through the JRE 1.8 installation process.
3 Select Yes, install Tomcat 8.5 and use it when running AvailabilityGuard. When you select this option, a wizard opens to guide you through the Apache Tomcat installation process.
4 Select I accept the agreement and click Next (twice).
5 Edit location of tnsnames.ora and service name to be used by AvailabilityGuard.
6 Specify the database schema name and password and click Next.
7 Select Yes, create the required schema on this computer.
8 Enter the (sysdba) username and password for the AvailabilityGuard database administrator and click Next.
9 Specify the password for the user and admin AvailabilityGuard users and click Next.
10 Specify where to store the AvailabilityGuard program shortcuts by clicking Browse and navigating to the required folder. Click Next.
11 Select to Start Apache Tomcat 8.5 check box. Click Next.
12 Review installation settings and click Next.
13 Click Finish.
You're done!
Now you can go straight ahead and login to AvailabilityGuard to configure the scan and data analysis.
Logging in
After you install AvailabilityGuard, you can log in to the application.
To login to AvailabilityGuard, enter the following login string:
http://server_name:Tomcat port/AvailabilityGuard
For example:
http://localhost:8080/AvailabilityGuard
Alternatively, click the AvailabilityGuard desktop icon or access the application from the Start menu.
