Preparation for Scanning Pure FlashArray or FlashBlade
StorageGuard collects configuration data from PureStorage systems by opening HTTPS/SSH connections to the PureStorage system and running read-only REST-API calls and commands.
The following table lists the requirements for scanning PureStorage systems:

1 | Provide the network name or IP address of PureStorage system. |
2 | Provide a read-only user account (and password) for each PureStorage system. Examples for API/CLI calls used:

3 | Make sure that IP connectivity through HTTPS (port 443) and SSH (22) is available between the StorageGuard server and each PureStorage array. |
4 | Note: The same username and password is required for the RES API and SSH connections. |
Creating a User Account for Scanning Pure FlashArray or FlashBlade
The following suggested method can be used to create a user account with appropriate privileges:
pureadmin create --role readonly sguser
